To date the group has been funded by donations from local bike shops, businesses and kind-hearted riders. We have also received support from Bristol City Council (who own Ashton Court Estate) and the Forestry Commission (who manage 50 Acre Wood).
Special thanks go to Tarmac, operators of Durnford Quarry, who have donated a large proportion of the materials we use.
The group's running expenses are minimal but we do need a small amount to cover expenses like tools, safety equipment, insurance and domain name registration. If you wish to make a donation you can do this via PayPal to

Bristol Bike Fest is an annual race weekend held in June at Ashton Court Estate. The 12 hour endurance race in particular is a highlight of the mountain biking calendar. If you haven't raced before and are looking for a laid-back and fun event to kick off with, or if you're an experienced racer who wants a more challenging course than the usual muddy field, it's well worth doing. The same team also organise the Cheddar Bike Fest, which has a slightly harder course but is still really good fun.
