We've had a typically British summer so far, so trail maintenance in 50 Acre Wood is going to resume on Sunday 31 July. Meet at 10:00 am by the squeeze stile, at the start of the trail, or come along later - we'll be out until about 4:00pm. If you need directions give me a ring on 0771 265 0857.

As usual you'll only need to bring some sensible shoes with grippy soles, and perhaps a bit of food and water if you're planning on staying all day. Tools, work gloves and know-how will be provided.

There are three sections in the wood that are in pretty bad shape - the section immediately after the first climb, the open section across the top of the wood, and the long descent (particularly the Rut of Doom about 2/3 of the way down).
